Volume I
HOW TO DEVELOP TREMENDOUS RIGHT HAND TECHNIQUE FOR THE GUITAR
From the fundamentals, to the advance areas of technique that enable one to play the most demanding music, this volume covers this intricate technique in the kind of detail heretofore unseen in a DVD.
The information in both the DVD and book begins with complete coverage of the foundational elements of finger/string interaction, tone production and nail shape. From here, an understanding of finger alternation, rest strokes and free strokes I the fingers and thumb, group planting, and sequential planting is built. Other details such as the rasgueado are also discussed.
Using screen-filling, macro close-ups of the hand, along with complete and clear explanations and demonstrations, noting is left to the imagination or to question. The demonstrations in real time video justify and clarify what could otherwise be confusing in print alone.
Volume II
HOW TO DEVELOP TREMENDOUS LEFT HAND TECHNIQUE FOR THE GUITAR
This volume offers the same in-depth coverage of the technique of the left hand that Volume I does for the right. It too, is built upon the most fundamental details that lie at the heart of the technique. In the left hand in particular, there are many assumptions made by guitar players that run counter to an informed understanding of left-hand technique.
After a thorough understanding of hand and arm position and usage is established, the video/book proceeds through the areas of finger exchange, strength and flexibility, chording and counterpoint, the bar, slurs, shifts, scales, and other details such as harmonics and playing above the twelfth fret.

The information of Volumes I and II is applied to this famous study for guitar in a measure-by-measure manner. The technique required of each hand is discussed throughout the entire arpeggiated piece. Along with this, there is a great deal of information about how to go about learning a new piece of music. From understanding the phrasing, and the breakdown of voices and playing them with assigned fingers, to methods of sight reading, and using the metronome to enhance one's practice, this piece will be learned thoroughly.
The student will learn how to practice this and future pieces intelligently. Ideas and information on arriving at a stylistic interpretation are discussed and demonstrated. Finally, a few hints on performance, and overcoming performance anxiety are presented. This volume is the perfect continuation of Volumes I and II.
Volume IV
LEARN PRACTICE AND PERFECT ETUDES 4 & 10 BY MATEO CARCASSI
Everything said about volume III applies to Volume IV. These etudes, however, are about the slur, one of the most important techniques in the guitarist's technique arsenal. Like volume III, this volume is the perfect continuation of Volumes I and II.

Each volume is comprised of a DVD in a shrink-wrapped case, a full sized, full length book containing all materials from the video presented in notation and tablature AND a shrink-wrapped CD containing a PDF of the book. Having the PDF of the book allows you to open the book and DVD together on your computer and conveniently toggle back and for the between them. Each CD also contains a free version of Adobe Reader 8.0 (PC only) in case you don't have a PDF reader on your computer.
The boxes are shipped USPS Priority Mail both domestically and internationally. For international orders please use the shipping calculator. Domestic (U.S. only) shipping is FREE. We do not add a bogus "handling" fee. Why is free shipping a big deal? Because it's expensive.
